Let’s give a quick look to the chart for the moment of the attack.
Israel who started the attack is Mars ruler of the Ascendant while Venus, ruler of the 7th house, signifies Palestinian people.
Israel started the attack in the morning, at the time children generally come back from school, so it is a day chart.
Mars – Israel – is very strong in his exaltation and at MC, but being against his hairesis – a night planet at the MC in a day chart- is very dangerous and highly malefic.
It is oriental but still combust to the Sun and it will not visible till 20 th March 2009, when it will have its heliacal rising.

This is just one set of aspects, but if you look at the Grand Conjunction chart for Jerusalem and Ghazza (there is only on degree difference in MC and Asc.)The Moon GC was at 3 Aries 16 and Lord 8, the 8th house cusp at 1 Cancer 47. The Moon would then in your chart be on the Ascencant and square the Moon/Mars conjunction. Mercury in this chart would be trine the GC, Saturn/Jupiter. The Moon was in the 4th house during the GC, so we can see that then and now, the issue is land. Mercury of the GC chart was at 28 Gemini which would put its antiscion on the IC of your chart. Unfortunately it is not Mercury itself because then peace talks would have a chance, an antiscion is only a shadow of. Instead Mars L8 of this chart conjuncts Moon L8 of the GC chart. Neither Israel or the Hamas profit from war, both sides know this, the losers again are the people on both sides.

Obviously the issue here is the land. Ruler of the radix 4th house is Cancer and the Moon is detrimented in Capricorn. She is leaving the conjunction of Mars but she is falling in the forge of the Sun: she lools like besieged – in fact Venus and Moon, being moist in nature suffer a lot from combustion.
And as always- you were right to remember us- the only losers will be civilians of both side.

The quote for the attack comes from the site of Repubblica, one of the two most important italian newspapers, they have timelines for every relevant news. Anyway I Googled around the net too.
